Overview

Marla is nationally recognized for her 20 years of experience advising stakeholders on healthcare payment and quality policy, particularly the Medicare Inpatient and Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment Systems. Over the years, Marla has aided scores of medical device, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic manufacturers in maximizing reimbursement for their products. She has performed analytics and crafted responses to federal policy proposals for many major healthcare providers and manufacturer trade associations as they navigate regulatory changes.

Her prior experience also includes serving as the principal research scientist in the advocacy office of Premier Inc., a group purchasing and healthcare solutions company. In this role, she incorporated qualitative input from the hospital community with findings from her quantitative analyses to help shape payment and quality policy.
