McDermottPlus Expands Health Policy and Data Analytics Capabilities with Three Distinguished Additions

Washington, DC (October 21, 2021) – McDermott+Consulting, a national healthcare lobbying and policy consulting firm, announced today the additions of Madeline Hodge, Tatyana Mallory and Luis Arzaluz. Madeline joins as Health Policy Director and Tatyana joins as Health Policy Manager, while Luis will serve as SAS Programmer/Manager on the growing data analytics team.

Madeline advises and advocates for clients on key policy, legislative and regulatory matters. With more than 10 years of experience working on Capitol Hill and with healthcare leaders, she helps clients lobby, develop effective policy strategies and build their brand reputation and awareness in Congress and throughout the United States. Madeline also helps her clients form and foster strong relationships with health policy decision-makers on national and grassroots levels. Before McDermottPlus, Madeline worked for a leading national medical professional society where she played an integral role in leading congressional advocacy efforts on Medicare payment, value, and quality issues. Previously, Madeline worked for a boutique healthcare consulting firm and spent time working for her home state Senator on Capitol Hill, who now serves in a leadership position on a committee with jurisdiction over healthcare issues.

Tatyana is a highly skilled medical coding and billing/reimbursement specialist who helps clients evaluate, identify and strategize on coding, payment and coverage policies. With more than a decade of experience in medical coding, compliance, medical records, and related Medicare regulations and policies, she helps clients navigate all aspects of provider coding, documentation, reporting, reimbursement and analysis. Previously, Tatyana served as a coding subject matter expert at a national physician specialty society. Tatyana also serves an adjunct faculty member at Northern Virginia Community College and has been a faculty member at Westwood College. Tatyana is professionally certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator.

Luis provides a deep understanding of Medicare claims and healthcare data, delivering expert level analytical support for clients on Medicare reimbursement issues, program evaluation and impact assessment of value-based care models. Prior to this position, Luis served as a senior associate at a major health economics and policy consulting firm where he managed and conducted research projects to advise commercial and government clients on a wide array of health policy issues.
