Bipartisan Legislation Introduced by Senators Grassley and Klobuchar

The bill would temporarily allow drugs to be imported from certain other countries if facing a shortage or lack of competition.

On March 15, 2019, Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) introduced a bill (S. 844) that would allow prescription drugs that are in shortage or have fewer than five competitors to be temporarily imported from certain countries.
