The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (Innovation Center) posted CY 2020 marketing and communications guidelines for the Medicare Advantage (MA) Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) model. This document provides communications and marketing guidance to Medicare Advantage Organizations participating in the MA VBID model. Organizations participating in the model are required by the contract they sign to adhere to this guidance.
Through the VBID Model, the Innovation Center is testing a broad array of complementary MA health plan innovations designed to reduce Medicare program expenditures, enhance the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries (including those with low incomes, such as dual-eligibles), and improve the coordination and efficiency of health care service delivery.
