CMS Opens Call for Measures and Activities

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) opened the submission period of the Annual Call for Measures and Activities for the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) track of the Quality Payment Program.

As described in the CMS Quality Measure Development Plan, CMS will solicit input from stakeholders through the ongoing “Call for Measures” to fill gaps in measures by developing additional measures for MIPS with funding provided by the MACRA legislation. CMS will use the rulemaking process to update and finalize measures by November 1 each year. The Call for Measures Fact Sheet provides additional information on the process.
