Representative Experience:
- On behalf of a diagnostic test manufacturer, developed and deployed an advocacy strategy that persuaded the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to reverse its proposal to reduce payment for a test by 75 percent, and convinced CMS to allow local Medicare contractors to continue to locally price claims
- On behalf of a coalition of diagnostic testing suppliers, successfully advocated for changes in a critical practice expense input under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule
- On behalf of a coalition of laboratory test manufacturers, successfully advocated for changes to a section of CPT® codes and the subsequent valuation of those codes under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule to improve payment rates
- On behalf of a manufacturer of diagnostic imaging agents and products, persuaded CMS to reverse a proposal that would have reduced reimbursement for echocardiogram procedures using contrast agents because of reconfiguration of the relevant APCs under the OPPS
