Susan is a skilled health policy and data strategist with over a decade of expertise. She possesses an in-depth knowledge of Medicare payment policy and policy landscape and extensive experience in devising and communicating strategic data analyses for diverse audiences.
Susan works with clients across the healthcare industry to navigate complex regulatory and policy challenges, often leveraging data to both anticipate and mitigate the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on clients’ organizations. Susan designs and leads policy research projects, studies and analyses. She specializes in policy areas that include hospital inpatient and outpatient payment systems, quality programs and alternative payment models.
Susan most recently joins McDermottPlus from the Association of American Medical Colleges, where she served as the Director, Payment Policy Research & Analytics. She has previously held data-focused positions with other hospital associations and at a health care research and consulting firm. Susan holds Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Biomedical Engineering.
