Registration Open for Public Meeting on June 17
The Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) recently opened registration for a public meeting on June 17, 2019. Registration and agenda information are available here.
PTAC will hear from Preliminary Review Teams (PRTs) and the public on the CAPABLE Provider Focused Payment Model submitted by Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and the Stanford Clinical Excellence Research Center. The Committee will deliberate on whether the proposal satisfies the 10 criteria articulated by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If the Committee completes its deliberation on a proposal, the members will vote on whether the proposal will be recommended to the HHS Secretary for testing.
Asthma Proposal Open for Comments Until June 12
PTAC is soliciting comments until June 12, 2019 on a new physician-focused payment model.
All written statements should be addressed to the Designated Federal Officer for PTAC and sent by email to PTAC@hhs.gov.
Established by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, PTAC is tasked with providing comments and recommendations to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on physician payment models. The Committee includes 11 members who are nationally recognized for their expertise in physician-focused payment models and related delivery of care.
