The Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) recently opened registration for a public meeting on September 6-7, 2018. Registration and agenda information is available here.
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015 requires PTAC to assess the extent to which submitted proposals meet the criteria for Physician Focused Payment Models established by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) in regulations at 42 CFR §414.1465. Public deliberations are part of this assessment process.
PTAC will hear from Preliminary Review Teams (PRTs) and the public on four proposals. The Committee will deliberate on whether the proposals satisfy the 10 criteria articulated by the HHS Secretary. If the Committee completes its deliberation on a proposal, the members will vote on whether the proposal will be recommended to the HHS Secretary for testing.
PRT Reports have been posted on the PTAC website.
