PTAC Solicits Comments on Intensive Care Management in Skilled Nursing Facility Alternative Payment Model

The Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) is soliciting comments until October 6, 2017, on an Intensive Care Management in Skilled Nursing Facility Alternative Payment Model. The model was submitted by Avera Health.

Members of the public may also comment on PTAC proposals at public meetings. All such meetings and procedures for registering to make any public comments will be announced in the Federal Register at least 15 days prior to the meeting. PTAC’s next public meeting will take place December 18-20, 2017.

Established by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA), PTAC is tasked with providing comments and recommendations to CMS on physician payment models. The Committee includes 11 members who are nationally recognized for their expertise in physician-focused payment models and related delivery of care.
