PTAC Posts APM Proposal for Medicare Three-Year Value Based Payment Plan

The Physician-Focused Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) is accepting comments until August 1, 2017, on the Medicare Three-Year Value Based Payment Plan alternative payment model. This model will allow Medicare beneficiaries to choose innovative reimbursement plans that are either offered by physicians in the community or through a benefit carrier.

Established by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA), PTAC is tasked with providing comments and recommendations to CMS on physician payment models. The Committee includes 11 members who are nationally recognized for their expertise in physician-focused payment models and related delivery of care.
