The National Quality Forum (NQF) is forming a Technical Expert Panel (TEP) to oversee a review of measures and concepts related to medical opioid use; and opioid use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery. Nominations are being accepted until March 16, 2019. More information is available here.
The NQF is also forming a Patient and Caregiver Engagement Advisory Group. This group will provide strategic input and direction on engaging patients and caregivers in shaping NQF processes, programs, products and deliverables. More information is available here.
Finally, the Core Quality Measures Collaborative (CQMC) is seeking input on approaches to prioritizing topic areas for the creation of future core measure sets. The draft memo for comment is available on the CQMC webpage. Comments can be submitted online through March 25 at 6 pm ET.
CQMC is a broad-based coalition of healthcare leaders convened through a partnership between America’s Health Insurance Plans, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the NQF. The goal of CQMC is to establish broadly agreed upon core measure sets that could be harmonized across both commercial and government payers. More information on the CQMC and previous core measure sets released by this group is available here.
