The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) posted the agenda for the next meeting scheduled for April 2. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Commission has announced that the April meeting will not be open to the public. MedPAC will post a transcript of the meeting by COB on Friday, April 3.
The Commission is scheduled to vote on several issues previously discussed during the March public meeting, including challenges for accountable care organizations, realigning incentives in Medicare Part D, and redesigning the Medicare Advantage quality bonus program. The Commission is also scheduled to discuss their goal of increasingly recommending payments be tied to value.
MedPAC is an independent congressional agency established by the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 (P.L. 105-33) to advise the US Congress on issues affecting the Medicare program.
