The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (Innovation Center) updated the Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport (ET3) Model frequently asked questions resource. The updated questions can be found here.
Additionally, the Innovation Center is currently accepting applications for participation in the ET3 Model until September 19. The application can be found here.
The ET3 Model is a voluntary, five-year payment model providing emergency care professionals with greater flexibility following an emergency 911 call. This payment model permits emergency professionals to take beneficiaries not only to emergency departments but also to alternative lower-cost sites, such as urgent care centers or primary care providers
More information about the ET3 Model can be found on the model webpage.
