Key updates from this past week include:
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has updated the FAQ document for providers, answering questions related to the general distribution of the Provider Relief Fund.
On May 7, HHS extended the deadline for providers receiving funds from the Provider Relief Fund to accept terms and conditions from 30 days to 45 days after the payment has been received.
CMS has updated a frequently asked questions document related to the COVID-19 public health emergency and state Medicaid and CHIP flexibilities.
On May 6, CMS released an Interim Final Rule with comment period requiring nursing homes to report COVID-19 facility data to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
CMS released a Medicare Learning Network Article detailing the new policy permitting Medicare-enrolled pharmacies and other Medicare-enrolled suppliers seeking to enroll as temporary independent clinical diagnostic laboratories.
CMS released a video providing additional details about the coverage of and payment for telehealth services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
