CMS Seeks Nominations of Clinical Experts for Subcommittees Developing Cost Measures: MSPB Service Refinement Workgroup

May 29, 2018

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is accepting nominations until June 6, 2018, of physicians and other practitioners interested in providing clinical input for the development of episode-based cost measures to be used to implement the Cost Performance Category of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Specifically, CMS is seeking 8-15 clinicians with inpatient experience or experience with resource use/cost measures for the Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary (MSPB) Service Refinement Workgroup.

The workgroup will meet for three virtual conferences between June and December 2018, with dates to be determined based on member availability, and members will also be required to complete tasks through a web-based assignment tool.

The call for nominations is now online at the CMS Call for Nominations webpage.
