CMS Releases RFI on Rural Maternal and Infant Health

On February 12, 2020, Seema Verma, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), released a Request for Information (RFI) to seek public comments regarding rural maternal and infant health care. The CMS Office of Minority Health is seeking information related to opportunities to improve access, quality, and outcomes before, during, and after pregnancy for women in rural communities. Responses to this RFI will be used to inform future work by CMS on programs and policies that ensure rural women have access to high-quality maternal health care.

Comments should be submitted to by Sunday, April 12 at 11:59pm ET.

Additional information about CMS rural health activities can be found on the CMS rural health homepage.
