January 07, 2020

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the states that have been awarded funding to provide behavioral health and substance use services to children and pregnant women through the Maternal Opioid Misuse (MOM) and Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) models.

The MOM model will provide funding to ten states to participate in the substance use treatment model with the goal to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with maternal substance use. Additional information about the model can be found on the MOM model webpage.

Eight cooperative agreements among seven states and organizations have been awarded funding to participate in the InCK model.
