On Thursday, January 16, Shannon Sartin announced in a blog post that she has been hired as the new Chief Technology Officer at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (Innovation Center) where she will help oversee technology. Previously, Sartin led the U.S. Digital Service (USDS), an HHS-focused technology team within the White House. At USDS, she oversaw a number of Medicare data projects including the Data at the Point of Care pilot, which allows clinicians at participating hospitals to download patients’ claims information.
Earlier this month it was also announced that Brad Smith was appointed as the new head of the Innovation Center.
