The Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) has updated the agenda for the scheduled June 2020 virtual public meeting. In addition to discussing, deliberating and voting on two proposed payment models, the committee is now also scheduled to hold a discussion reflecting on past models the committee has considered. Since the inception of the committee, 32 models have been reviewed and 16 have been recommended to the Secretary of Health and Human Services for implementation. As of yet, no models have been tested by the agency.
The public meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2020, beginning at 10:00 AM (ET). Registration is currently open, and additional information about the virtual meeting is available here.
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 established PTAC to provide comments and recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on physician payment models. Additional information is available on the PTAC website.
