Section 216 of the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (PAMA) fundamentally changes the way Medicare reimburses clinical laboratory services.
PAMA replaces the historical processes of “crosswalk” and “gapfill” and determines Medicare payment amounts for lab services with a reference pricing scheme to private payers.
We have developed this PAMA Resource Center to provide a central repository on our website for PAMA-related resources, including notices from CMS, related news, and original analysis.
